With your reminders window still open, you can now dismiss that reminder.Delete the file(s) associated with the stuck reminder by moving it / them to the trash. Then click "Show All in Finder" - This will open a finder window which lists the actual file(s) associated with the stuck reminder.Type the full exact name of your first stuck reminder into spotlight.Keep your reminders window open showing the stuck reminders: I had the same error and this workaround worked for me (at least so far, hopefully it works for the long term). integration seems to work with everything else we have tested with word docs etc all opening up in the mac versions.įor everyone who is getting the "Outlook cannot open the file because it is not associated with the default identity" error. We are now looking at installing parallels with win 7 vm and using just outlook from this vm. The calendars are heavily shared amongst a number of staff which may also have something to do with it. We cant seem to identify if the issue is to do with the mac in question or Outlook 2011 or some bizarre combination or something to do with the way they are creating the appointments. It is something on the mac though as when logging into the OWA there are no reminders and setting up the mailbox on a Windows machine there are no reminders either. same as above.ĭeleting mailbox from server - creating new mailbox and importing everything but calendar items, then manually adding calendar items back in - works for about 3 months then THEY ARE BACK!. Rebuilding profile doesnt work, as they come back almost straight away once the mailbox has downloaded from server. I have literally exhausted all possible solutions to resolve it.Ĭlearing cache doesnt work as two days later they will be back. we have had this issue and sometimes there actually aren't any calendar appointments in the calendar and the reminders keep coming up - let me know how you go with this as we have just 1 mac in particular that this keeps happening to.
